See how this Raleigh organization places philanthropy in everyone's reach

Have you heard of the Beehive Collective? I had not until friend and Beehive Collective board member Whitney Stanley asked me to serve as a panelist on their food insecurity panel. The point of the panel was to inform the public and Beehive Collective members on the issue of food insecurity so that they can put their philanthropic dollars to use by providing a $40,000 grant to an area non-profit working to address this issue.

The Beehive Collective is a giving circle that awards grants to nonprofits working toward making Raleigh a better place. Members of the Beehive Collective are also interested in supporting and promoting the development of women through leadership opportunities. By pooling their resources and organizing fun events, they raise money to fund community projects. Since 2008, the Beehive Collective has given away more than $150,000 in support of causes ranging from public transportation to youth health care. Learn more about it here
